Unlike suppliers who assemble third-party catalog parts, PCL retains full control over both the physical gantry construction and the underlying vision-scanning software — perfect synchronization between your Tekla DSTV models and the shop floor.

The specs sheet says "6-axis" or "CNC controlled" — here's what that means in practice on the shop floor.

Laser-scanning vision extracts the seam or cut path directly from a 3D model or a live scan of the part, instead of requiring an operator to manually walk the robot through the job first. That's what "teaching-free" means in our welding and profiling lines — first-run parts come out weld-ready without a dry-run programming pass, which is where most of the labor-hour savings against manual fabrication actually come from.
Ball-screw and rack-and-pinion drive systems, paired with high-precision linear guides, are what keep a cutting head accurate across metres of travel rather than just at the center of the table. Combined with automatic lubrication and stress-relieved welded bases, this is the mechanical foundation that lets a machine hold ±0.05mm accuracy after years of multi-shift production, not just on day one out of the crate.

PCL writes its own control software rather than white-labeling a generic third-party CNC package, specifically so the automation logic matches the mechanical behavior of each machine class — a beam coper needs different real-time compensation than a tube laser. That in-house control also means direct file import from Tekla DSTV and AutoCAD DXF, so there's no third-party translation layer between your structural model and the machine.
Individual machines are built to talk to each other — automatic material feed and centering, synchronized multi-torch cutting, and gantry-mounted robotic welding cells that free up floor space instead of consuming it. For fabricators building out a full workshop rather than buying one machine at a time, this is what turns four separate stations into one connected production line.
